Welcome to 2015 and I hope you enjoyed your New Years and winter time. The 2015 Japan Canyoning Season is still some months away off but it gets closer every week. So here’s an update of what is happening with Canyon Magazine and what is expected to come this year.
We’re excited about growing the magazine this year to promote canyoning in Japan locally and internationally. We were a bit quiet last year in publishing articles, with full time guiding in Tokyo and sorting out some personal events, Canyon Magazine took a step back. But fear not, we are continuing on on publishing new articles, stories, technical information and other items.
We have placed all the current articles online and removed the PDF’s that we used to make. The PDF magazine was taking us way too much time to create and pretty much everyone reads the web on their phone everyday so you will now see the website fully smartphone compatible.
We went last year to RIC in Mallorca (the Rendezvous International Canyoning Conference) and quite a few people recognised us which was a surprise for a small Japanese magazine. With this in mind, we are asking several people to write some articles from an international perspective and we will be focussing on receiving more articles from everyone all over the world to may Canyon Magazine purely international.
So, if you have any trip reports or articles you would like to share, please get in contact with and we can arrange it so you can send us data or to be your own publisher on the magazine.
